Michaela and I had picked out a spot by the lily pond to paint, and had set down our easels. Within a few minutes, it looked like rain was coming! A check of the radar confirmed it, so we searched for shelter. Deciding the first porch offered too little cover, we opted for the lodge by the woods. Thank goodness! It was pouring in no time, and blowing 15 feet into the shelter house! It was so nice to be able to enjoy painting in the rain, while remaining dry! This has been the week for dodging storms! At least there was no hail today! Painting number 1242 in 1242 days.
I really like this piece... the path leading me to...somewhere I really want to go. Love the texture of the brush strokes - very pleasing and interesting effect.
