I loved standing in a gallery of oaks to paint the setting of this cabin and the path to the river. The morning was cool in the shade, and the breeze light, making the day perfect for painting. The trees called to me. Each large shape and form begged to be immortalized in ink and watercolor, casting the cabin as the understudy. Truly a study of oaks, I hope I did them justice.
