Bible Point

The Bible Point trail was one of the very first trails we hiked upon arriving. I've been there several times since, always drawn to a different spot for reflection while sketching. The view from the top of those rocks is stunning, but here the painting is in the trail.  It's a little bit like life, isn't it?  Painting number 4571 in 4571 days. 

Bible Point Sketched

On this morning, I started on a sketch walk on part of the Y-360 trail that I had not yet hiked.  This is my first sketch on the back side of Bible Point, on my way to the Overlook Chapel.  There is a cross and a mailbox visible at the top of those rocks, where one can leave prayer requests and sign a book.  The mountain view is stunning from that peak, truly a view that inspires reflection and gratitude.  This sketch is painting number 4566 in 4566 days.

I love hiking this trail - and then painting Bible Point after the upward climb! I'll take this one to show in the Library at the YMCA of the Rockies!!   I really enjoy the vigorous ascent, and the sweeping views are amazing!  I chose the rocks today, but I may choose the mountains tomorrow!  Painting number 4562 in 4562 days, and i will drop this one by the Library in the morning.
