Snow at the Creek
Studying compositions today for an upcoming painting, I choose ink for my medium. No fancy pants fountain pen today, with no extra ink I turn to my trusty Pilot Varsity pen. No matter how long I've left this modest fountain pen packed in my bag, it drops a line effortlessly. No dipping the nib in water or coaxing ink to flow, it simply works every time. I leave one in each of my sketch bags, just in case I might need a back up, which happens far more than one would think. One of the hazards of daily painting! Painting number 2222 in 2222 days.
