Pa He Tsi Boat Launch
I love painting at water's edge anywhere, but this day finds me at the Pa He Tsi boat launch on the Lake of the Ozarks. A very hot day with heat warnings issued, this spot in the shade was comfortable indeed. A soft wind carried cool air up from the lake, refreshing in the deep shade of mature trees. It was peaceful and relaxing here, with the sound of water lapping at the beach to serenade me. This natural landscape is the perfect complement to all of the buildings I've been painting lately! It feels so good to immerse in nature again! This painting won a ribbon and is now showing at Lake Fine Art Galleria in Osage Beach! Painting number 3138 in 3138 days. ❤🎨

Albert Kister Park
St Charles has been such a wonderful surprise for me! Here with Tyler's family for the PGA Championship, we are walking distance from the historic district full of fabulous shopping, antique architecture, and the Mississippi River. Truly a painter's paradise, I am squeezing in paintings whenever I can, be it first thing in the morning or during little Nolan's lunch break! My sketch bag disguised as a purse serves me well with my four pens, two watercolor sets, two water brushpens, and assorted paper. I can start painting at the drop of a hat, and close up fast when I need to. With so much historic beauty, I really do need more time here! I definitely need to return with some of my closest artist friends! Painting number 2034 in 2034 days.

A Walk in the Park
What a gorgeous day for painting! Sunny, with a light breeze, and temps in the 70's - this day was made for painting! I love this view of the park! There is something so peaceful about a path winding to the lake. I positioned myself in the shade of another very large tree, which allowed me to keep palette and panel in the shade. I painted this one small - only 10x8, mainly because the last one I painted here was 30x24! I can't believe the KC Plein Air ends tomorrow. I never get to paint as much as I want to when the event is local. There are just too many obligations nipping at my heals! Painting number 1584 in 1584 days. Tomorrow's quick paint is at sunrise!
