What a glorious overlook to paint at the College of the Ozarks!! I could paint here for days!! I intended to paint the historic church on site, but as I walked through the scripture garden, this scenic overlook called my name. My first painting is at it's feet as I scrambled to paint another in our allotted time. What fun it has been talking to so many artists that I've painted with over the years. It is sheer joy to paint such a breathtaking view as this! Painting number 4882 in 4882 days.

Looking Over the Huzzah

| SOLD |
It has been another perfect painting day, with not a drop of rain though it was expected. Part of our private estate paint in Davisville, Missouri, this overlook of the Huzzah River was magnificent! Starting right at noon is never my favorite painting time for light, but with the cloudy day the light did not shift much. I blocked in before lunch, and came back to add all the magic. Sometimes a cloudy day offers a chance to really study the colors, finding beauty in the subtle changes. Such a contemplative place to spend an afternoon. I could paint this view for days.
