Old Mill at Finley's Farm

I painted this Old Mill at Finley's Farm with about 700 other artists from an old iron bridge!  We were lined up elbow to elbow by the time I finished! It was SO much fun! I've never painted with so many artists at one time before!  The day was beautiful, everyone visited as they passed by - and fun was had by all.  The wind actually blew a painting from the bridge into the river below - and another artist grabbed it out and the whole place cheered!  How many times does one see that in a lifetime?!! Ozark Overlook

What a glorious overlook to paint at the College of the Ozarks!! I could paint here for days!! I intended to paint the historic church on site, but as I walked through the scripture garden, this scenic overlook called my name.  My first painting is at it's feet as I scrambled to paint another in our allotted time.  What fun it has been talking to so many artists that I've painted with over the years.  It is sheer joy to paint such a breathtaking view as this! In the Woods

This is the first painting in the rolling hills of the Ozarks - on the first day of the Plein Air Convention in Branson!  The woods are so full of beauty, I couldn't resist a quick paint after checking in my painting.  This quiet time to focus, immersed in nature,  is a balm for my soul.  I come out renewed and invigorated, ready to do it again tomorrow!  Painting number 4881 in 4881 days.

HaHa Tonka Sunset

Love painting historic Ha Ha Tonka at sunset - especially in oils.  The rich, buttery oils describe the rocky bluff and textured trees so quickly on the panel.  I had to gain my vantage from a perch along the edge to get this dramatic view.  It seems to reflect the historic past of this beautiful place so well.  See this painting and more in person at Lake Fine Art Galleria on Bagnell Dam Boulevard. Horse Camper!

This may just be the coolest camper I've ever seen - and of course, I HAD to paint it!!  I am drawn to campers and travel trailers - probably because they stir up childhood memories of family camp-outs!  But this one is right out of my childhood book of dreams, full of my love of horses!  I'm losing the light, but still had enough time for an ink sketch and a little watercolor too. I'm staying in the bunkhouse just past this beauty - and it is right our of the pages of Country Living!  How does one artist get so lucky as I am?  I'm thanking my lucky stars tonight - and may just go sit out and enjoy them awhile!
