Swing Shop

I've not been to the historic 18th and Vine district in Kansas City for many years, and so much has changed!  It is a wonderful getaway for touring the museums and learning about our city's rich jazz and baseball culture.  The architecture and colors are great for painting, I only wish I had more time.  With a family lunch scheduled right after, I had to miss the Urban Sketchers KC lunch in the area.  Sometimes, I just have to paint and run!  Painting number 2196 in 2196 days.

Jazz Museum ATC

Perhaps the thing I love best about being an artist and urban sketcher is getting to paint places I would not otherwise see!  The Kansas City Jazz Museum is such a cool slice of history, and perfect for capturing in ink and paint!  I simply must return with the family to spend more time here!  Painting number 2194 in 2194 days.
