Pinks!
I have always loved the fragrance of pinks! My mom grew a light pink lavender shade of these in her garden in Overland Park when I was young. I can clearly remember the silver green shade of the foliage as it shone in the full sunlight of our south facing entry way. They grew right beside the walk, cheerful and small, and smelling of carnations. Isn't it remarkable how the sight and smell of these blooms take me back to my childhood. Flowers made such an impression on me at a very young age, and I still can't get enough of them today. I bought these beauties for my mom's new home for Valentine's Day this year. Something new to bring back memories of old. Painting number 3331 in 3331 days.
