This iris is one I remember from childhood, a favorite in Grandma's iris garden. The soft shades of lavender with ruffled edges are eye-catching, indeed! On this day full of so many chores at home, I just had to sneak in a miniature painting of this beauty. When those other buds open up, I hope to do this in oil! Painting number 2688 in 2688 days.
Beautiful paintng.
ReplyDeleteThese are so lovely! We had something similar at my family home, but I suspect they were something different. Mother called them “flag lillies”.
